Our Privacy Policy
Newton & Co. will accumulate information related to its clients on all matters
related to their services the client has requested us to provide, such as financial
statements and tax returns. This information is stored in both electronic and
paper medium, and is kept for at least seven years.
As public accountants, the team at Newton & Co. have a professional obligation
to keep all client information completely confidential. We will not provide any
client information to any outside sources, except in the following situations:
1- When directed to do so by the client (such as filing tax returns or providing
financial statements to bankers
2- As required by law through subpoena, search warrant or other legal process
3- When required to facilitate communication with clients such as our newsletter
mailing. In this case the third party is required to sign a confidentiality agreement
prohibiting the use of the information for any other purpose.
Safeguards For Your Privacy
Newton & Co. has instituted certain safeguards against unauthorized access to
our electronic data, including firewalls and password protection. Paper records
are kept locked in our office except when in use. All employees have signed
confidentiality agreements.
Access To Your Information
Our clients are entitled to view their paper files at any time or to request
printouts of their electronic information.
Web Site Privacy
Our web site does not obtain information from visitors to the site. If a site
visitor contacts us via an email link on the site, the email address of the
sender forms part of the communication.
Our web site provides a number of links to third party sites. Our privacy
policy does NOT extend to third party web sites and it is recommended
that users read the privacy policies of these web sites. Newton & Co. is
not responsible for the content of or privacy practices employed by third
party web sites
